FARM EXPERIENCE
Come behind the farm gate and experience genuine farm life at Woodstone. Meet and feed the animals, watch the working dogs in action, step inside the Woolshed for a sheep shearing demonstration and explore our working farm. Along the way, hear the stories behind the farm and discover what everyday life is really like on a New Zealand farm.
The Farm Experience runs for approximately 60 to 90 minutes.
The Farm Experience includes plenty of hands-on farm activities. Meet and feed the animals, bottle-feed lambs when they’re in season, watch the working dogs in action and see a sheep shearing demonstration. You’ll also have time to explore the property and take in the scenery. As we’re a real working farm, activities can vary depending on the season and what’s happening on the farm that day.

Yes. The Farm Experience is suitable for all ages. Children must be supervised by a parent or responsible adult during their visit.
Don’t worry — rain won’t stop us! Much of the experience can continue in sheltered areas, including our Woolshed, and we’ll provide umbrellas and raincoats to help keep you comfortable. Some farm activities may vary depending on the weather and conditions on the day, but there’s still plenty to see, do and enjoy at Woodstone.

Woodstone Farm is located just outside Te Anau at 615A Te Anau–Mossburn Highway.
We’re just 5 minutes from Te Anau town, making Woodstone an easy addition to your Fiordland itinerary!
Woodstone Farm is a real working farm, so we recommend comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes suitable for walking on uneven or grassy ground. We also recommend bringing a jacket, as Southland weather can change quickly.
We recommend booking the Farm Experience in advance, especially during busy periods, to secure your spot. Made a last-minute decision? No problem! Bookings are welcome on the day, subject to availability, and tickets can also be purchased from our Food Trailer when you arrive.
Yes, there is plenty of parking available at Woodstone Farm for every kind of vehicle, including a tractor!
FOOD & DRINK
Yes! Our Farm Experience + Meal combines the full farm experience with a hearty farm-style meal. The meal option takes approximately 2–2.5 hours and has a minimum of 10 guests.
Absolutely! Our Food Trailer is open to visitors looking for a coffee, something to eat or a quick stop while travelling through the area.
We serve coffee, baked goods, hot food including burgers and hot dogs, with a focus on farm-to-fork meat, eggs and locally sourced produce.
GROUPS
Yes! We welcome tour groups, families, schools and corporate groups and can tailor experiences around your group’s itinerary and interests.

Yes! Our Private Farm Experience is a personalised, hosted experience designed for private groups looking for a more exclusive and flexible visit. The experience runs for approximately 3 hours and can be tailored to suit your group.

BOOKINGS
Our farm experience is $85 per adult and $30 per child. Children are aged 5–15, while infants are 4 and under go for free.
We understand that plans can change. For individual bookings, we ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel. For group bookings, we require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice.

Bookings can be transferred to another date, subject to availability, with no transfer fee.
